The Power of a To Do List

Ever have one of those days that make you feel overwhelmed with all that you have to do? Ever have so much jumbled up in your mind that you rarely have a clear thought any more? I'll venture to bet that the majority of us end up here pretty often. We have to manage our personal and professional lives and the plethora of responsibilites and obligations that fall within both categories, there are hundreds. The best way to free up our much needed mental space is to jot down what we want to do (in order of importance) at least a day in advance. This discipline allows your plans to crystalize in your mind and strengthens your will power to do it. There is nothing worse than saying you'll get to something and then a month later is has yet to be accomplished.The to do list is an old fashioned, tried and true method that the most successful people on the planet use religiously (Bill Gates anyone?). It cuts back on stress and provides a goal post so that your day, week, or month is well spent.
