The Influence of Quiet Leadership

People who demonstrate leadership without trying to draw attention to themselves have a huge impact on organizations. The push and pull of clamoring for position does more harm than good. While there is nothing wrong with having some ambition and showing initiative, it is imperative to develop the habit of being a significant member of the team whether the spot light is on you or not. You will often find that your efforts are richly rewarded for taking the mature approach of working hard when no one else is watching. Leading by example is still the most powerful form of leadership. Actions will always speak louder than words.
