The Art of Being Excellent

It goes without saying that we live in a microwave generation. We are accustomed to getting more things done in less time. While there are some benefits to the rapid pace in which we are able to move, there are still problems that can arise from it if we are not careful. The age old truth is that it takes time to do some things right. In our rush job world, it is easy to forget that genuine effort, concentration, and attention must be given to the things we are involved in if they are to be worth any long term value. We've become good at putting things together very quickly, but we soon find that these establishments are only hanging by a thread if we step away from them for any length of time. Excellence is a forgotten art in this current generation. Excellence requires for you to go the extra mile and go above and beyond what is required. Those who get the job done quicker may move ahead in the interim, but those who take a little extra time and do things in excellence will ultimately have longevity in influential areas.
