Hustler Vs. Business Man: Thoughts of an Entrepreneurial R.E.B.E.L. (Volume 7)
Jay-Z is the poster boy for the "hustler" movement. He coined the phrase "I'm a hustler" and many young aspiring business people bought into it, including myself (at least for a period of time). The problem is this "cool" persona of a hustler is a fallacy. True hustlers will tell you that hustling is not all that it's "cracked" up to be. 50 cent himself stated he would have rather obtained his business savvy from school and corporate America than on the streets. The truth is hustling only gets you so far, it is the art of survival. There is nothing wrong with having some hustle in you(you actually need it in order to be a successful entrepreneur), but that should not be ones main objective. One should have the hustle in them and utilize it in order to expand into becoming a business person. A business person builds substantial and long lasting business ventures that yield excellent results day in and day out on a consistent basis. Hustlers live day to day and hustle to survive. When you get to the point where you have to hustle to survive, I think you'll know that that's not the preferred lifestyle even by those raised in the streets.
